Halloween seems as good a time as any to point out the recent release of the revisited Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack, featuring (amongst others) RJD2, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Datarock and one of my personal fave bands: The Polyphonic Spree. Even though Christmas creep has already taken hold at CVS and Walgreen’s (there is no such thing as a “Halloween tree,” dammit!) and even though Christmas music isn’t acceptable until Thanksgiving (at the earliest!), I’m giving everybody a pass to go check out the full album, streamable at spin.com… if only because it’s a spooky Christmas flick! (and because it’s quite good)…
